Gather launches the Reporting Intelligence Unit

BY Eleanor Leach

Gather has today launched the Reporting Intelligence Unit, a focus for its specialist and bespoke reporting expertise.  It is aimed at companies seeking to navigate the complexities of best practice and improve their corporate reporting.

Headed by our Corporate Reporting and Research Director, Mario Abela, the Reporting Intelligence Unit will enable Gather’s listed company clients to access practical advice on best practice and regulation implementation, in the context of a thorough understanding of today’s and tomorrow’s reporting landscape.

The Reporting Intelligence Unit offers expertise that is backed by evidence and a rigorous research process which helps our clients to understand current and future reporting trends. It provides both insight and practical advice to aid the improvement of corporate communication.

Mario’s background as a Chartered Management Accountant and his extensive experience in standard setting and regulation allows the Reporting Intelligence Unit to apply an intimate knowledge of best practice to particular client needs. Having previously held roles at the International Federation of Accountants, Deloitte and the Financial Reporting Council, Mario has a wealth of experience in advising and assisting clients in navigating the ever-changing landscape.

Mario says ‘Much of what passes for ‘good’ corporate reporting is based on opinion and not backed up with evidence and a deep understanding of major trends.  The Reporting Intelligence Unit provides rigorous research of practice to identify and analyse what’s really happening in the marketplace.  It gives us unrivalled capacity to provide our clients with insight and practical steps to improve their communications’.
