Hays are the world’s leading recruitment experts, with 240 offices in 33 countries. Hays’ people are passionate about connecting their candidates with the right job. Our task was to capture this spirit in their annual report and bring their business to life by positioning Hays as The Ultimate People Business.
To demonstrate the character of the business, we improved the story and design. We also shot new photography to show Hays people interacting with clients – and each other as they build relationships and match candidates and jobs.
We improved the structure to tell a more coherent story. The strategy section shows what actions are being taken along with the longer term outcomes, clearly on one double page spread. We improved the clarity of the business model too, pulling in CR to demonstrate that it is a core part of the business. We introduced an ‘at a glance’ remuneration report, colour coding each element of remuneration and restructuring it to make it easy to read. We highlighted the ‘results of remuneration’, including a policy summary above each of the tables to show linkage.
We have helped Hays be more clearly understood and shown why management should be trusted to deliver their strategy of growth, in the UK and internationally. We have made the investor case clearer and more compelling.
