Challenge

Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate Plc (KWE) listed on the Premium Segment of the London Stock Exchange in February 2014. Following a creative pitch in July 2015, Gather was appointed to work on their 2015 annual report.

KWE’s first Annual Report as a listed company presented them an investment trust. Their 2015 Report needed to present them as a European property company that adds value by unlocking the inherent potential in the assets they own. KWE does this by improving environments, re-structuring debt and increasing rental returns. They also needed to be seen as competing with other more clearly understood property companies in the sector.

Action

Gather developed a clean and slick visual identity for the company and introduced the ‘KWE ribbon’ that represents the skills and expertise that they bring to each of the assets they own. As well as showcasing their assets with strong imagery, the report also featured photography and quotes from key members of the KWE team. Icons representing different principles of the code enhanced and joined up the corporate governance report.

Impact

The new report enhances the KWE brand and clearly positions the company as a property company that successfully invests in a range of European assets.
