How do I effectively apply new reporting guidelines?
Treat them as an opportunity
As a September year-end, this was the first year M&B had to follow the new corporate reporting guidelines. It was an opportunity to create a business model that demonstrated how the company creates value for shareholders and develop a hard working market analysis that provides an objective view of the environment in which they operate.
We worked with M&B to visually articulate their new business model. In order to demonstrate that their strategy is working, we created a series of double page spreads that promoted their four key brands through the tweets of ‘happy customers’. We also provided linkage between the company’s strategic objectives and key performance indicators.
The report, published in December 2014, bought M&B’s corporate reporting in line with the latest guidelines and best practice and demonstrated that the strategic decisions the company made over the last few years are working.
