With the G7 summit this month focused on how governments plan to tackle climate change, it’s unsurprising that sustainability dominates this month’s newsletter.
The FCA has launched two consultations on the wider mandatory application of TCFD, PwC has released its report on climate reporting in the FTSE 350, two of the biggest standard-setters, the IIRC and SASB have merged to form a new body, the Value Reporting Foundation, and the new Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has been launched.
For this month’s best practice showcase, Mei Ashelford takes a look at BT’s reporting suite. It is a great example of a company producing a comprehensive, yet targeted, suite of comms that leverages off the content contained in its annual report. This is used particularly effectively for its sustainability reporting.
This month Mei has also been confirmed as a speaker at the ICAEW’s Financial Reporting and Audit Conference, due to be held in October.
