Gather Around – Issue 31 – March 2022

13 April 2022

The regulatory landscape is complex and evolving. Every month we bring you the latest developments in regulation and ‘best practice’ in corporate governance and reporting.

March has been a busy month at Gather HQ with our December year-end clients in the final throws of producing their annual reports for this season.

Outside of Gather HQ, the Investment Association has published its shareholder priorities and IVIS approach for the 2022 AGM season with climate change and board diversity at the top of its list. The FRC has published its updated list of signatories to the Stewardship Code which now includes notable absentees from last year’s inaugural list; Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Schroders. Sustainability reporting is also moving forward with the publication of beta versions of the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework, a sister framework to TCFD.

And finally, for this month’s best practice showcase, we preview a little taster from our first Deciphering Best Practice paper on governance reporting and showcase a couple of examples of good reporting of Board composition, diversity and skills from Severn Trent and SSE.
