The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and capable Reporting Consultant to join our team in the delivery of annual reports across print and digital. You will be a critical member of the reporting consultancy team, taking the lead on day-to-day project delivery. A technical expert, fluent in current and emerging reporting, sustainability and governance regulations and best practice, with a natural aptitude in corporate communications, you can weave regulatory requirements with a compelling corporate narrative to tell a coherent and connected story for our clients. With a track record of leading and delivering reporting consultancy projects and acting as a trusted adviser to client-side senior stakeholders, you are a highly organised team player, who enjoys working in a busy and dynamic agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on day-to-day delivery and management of reporting consultancy work, be a trusted adviser to our clients on all reporting, governance and sustainability regulations and best practice
  • Collaborate with the client and wider project team, on the creation of a detailed structure and content plan for a report, incorporating regulatory requirements, best practice, key messaging
  • Undertake content reviews of draft copy, providing detailed feedback to clients
  • Be the go-to-person for regulatory and best practice queries from clients and the wider Gather team
  • Work collaboratively with the design team to creatively bring the content to life, whilst maintaining the integrity of the information
  • Monitor commercial profitability of consultancy work, inputting into estimates and ensuring work is delivered on time and on budget
  • Monitor developments in regulation and best practice trends and keep the business up to date
  • Maintain and continually refresh our ‘best practice’ library
  • Contribute towards marketing collateral, including authoring our monthly client facing regulatory and best practice newsletter, Gather Around
  • Support on presentations for new business proposals and present as part of a team
  • As the team grows, train, supervise and manage junior consultants and researchers

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Technical expert, fluent in current and emerging reporting, sustainability and governance regulations and best practice in annual and corporate reporting
  • Track record in leading and delivering reporting consultancy as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Natural aptitude in corporate communications, able to weave regulatory requirements with compelling corporate narrative, with extensive experience of influencing at a senior level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Efficient and organised, a strong client service ethic
  • A can-do attitude, flexible and positive, a team player
  • An insatiable appetite to learn and grow
  • Collaborative and approachable, easy to work with and thrives in a team environment
  • Ability to motivate, coach and mentor others
  • A desire to be the very best you can be
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Keynote knowledge an advantage
  • Experience of originating marketing collateral an advantage
  • Experience of supporting new business activity, preferred but not essential
