Gather Around – Issue 41 – March 2023

10 March 2023

The regulatory landscape is complex and evolving. Every month we bring you the latest developments in regulation and ‘best practice’ in corporate governance and reporting.

This month’s issue is slightly different as it includes a ‘special’ about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how the creative industry is benefitting from it. While AI’s possibilities are endless, we focus on its capabilities to generate human-like text responses and image generation.

Could AI help you to update the tone of voice for the Chair’s letter within your annual report? Or create your corporate logo and strapline? We’ve been having fun setting ChatGPT and DALL-E tasks – check out the results on pages 6 and 7. We share our thoughts on what is generated and provide conclusions on how the creative industry could benefit from AI. We’d love to know what you think.

The regulatory round-up this month will keep you updated on the latest news on corporate reporting, sustainability, and governance. Following extensive consultation and many months of deliberations, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is making its final decisions on the technical content of its initial IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, S1, and S2. The FTSE Women Leaders Review published its latest report showcasing the progress FTSE 350 companies have made.

In other news, the FCA starts the discussion about how governance and culture can drive sustainable change and the FRC published a mythbuster to dispel common misconceptions about Corporate Governance and Stewardship.
