This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Director to work across a diverse portfolio of clients delivering integrated and strategic corporate communications, including annual reports across print and digital, sustainability reports, and wider communication channels.

Gather is a creative communications business joining brand, digital, ESG and corporate reporting. We work with ambitious listed and private companies across multiple sectors to solve communication challenges using insights and powerful ideas. We are experts at developing brands with purpose, ESG strategies, online communication and corporate reporting that builds long-term value.

For this role, we need you to have strong annual reporting experience, and be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, clients, and internal teams. You will lead on all client meetings, with the ability to truly listen to clients, challenge where appropriate and manage their needs effectively. Proficient in best practice and market trends in corporate reporting you will naturally upsell by instinctively understanding individual client needs. Commercial awareness is key, you will be able to scope, cost and confidently discuss budgets with clients. Working alongside the director of reporting intelligence and creative director, you will ensure content and creative output are on message and on brief.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead team in the delivery of a wide range of projects
  • Build and own client relationships based on trust and mutual respect
  • Be able to advise on potential risks and be solutions focused
  • Provide strong vision and leadership
  • Guide and mentor the junior members of the team
  • Ensure all project management processes, and quality assurance are implemented throughout all projects
  • Create and manage project timelines
  • Issue timely and accurate project documentation such as contact reports, scopes, estimates, invoicing schedules, and invoices
  • Manage resource effectively against schedules and workloads, ensure all work is delivered on time
  • Ensure financial processes are followed, and have full commercial responsibility and financial accountability for your accounts
  • Create presentations for new business proposals and present as part of a team
  • Develop revenue opportunities to grow clients

Skills and Knowledge:

  • At least 5+ years’ experience as an Account Director either agency or client side with experience in corporate reporting and strategic communications
  • Broad understanding of latest reporting regulations and best practice trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Efficient and organised, a strong client service ethic
  • A can-do attitude, flexible and positive, a team player
  • An insatiable appetite to learn and grow
  • Collaborative and approachable, easy to work with and thrives in a team environment
  • Ability to motivate, coach and mentor others
  • A desire to be the very best you can be
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
