We are looking to appoint a senior director delivering digital projects with excellence, championing digital across the agency and helping to grow the digital function.

Gather is a creative communications business joining brand, digital, ESG and corporate reporting. We work with ambitious listed and private companies across multiple sectors to solve communication challenges using insights and powerful ideas. We are experts at developing brands with purpose, ESG strategies, online communication and corporate reporting that builds long-term value.

For this role we are looking for someone strategically minded, with a natural communications aptitude and an eye for the bigger picture. You will be passionate about getting to the heart of what clients want and how this marries business and audience needs. You will be an entrepreneurial, accountable, team player who is technically savvy and CMS literate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own client relationships, interrogate and draft briefs, work alongside the Director of digital to define the approach and spot organic opportunities for growth
  • Oversee projects and lead the team – guiding the project managers, creative, IA and technical teams on the brief, scope and delivery. Setting the vision for the work and ensuring all documentation and outputs meet this vision
  • Commercial management & project admin – scoping, creating budgets, managing and delivering projects on time and to budget
  • Work with and coordinate a wide range of specialists: UX, creative, PMs, developers and technical teams
  • Draft and review functional specs – CMS literate, know your php from your .net.
  • Help win new business – proactively leading on and presenting compelling digital pitches
  • Champion digital best practice and mentor teams to increase digital understanding
  • Run the quarterly analytics and reporting, day-to-day web editing and management of the corporate sites we look after

Skills and Knowledge:

    • 6+ years’ experience as a digital account director on corporate websites and/or B2B digital comms, online corporate reporting – some understanding of corporate reporting legislation
    • An understanding of UX to be able to brief and manage UX consultants
    • Social media and broader digital comms experience is desirable, as well as some brand knowledge
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Efficient and organised, a strong client service ethic
    • A can-do attitude, flexible and positive, a team player
    • Collaborative and approachable, easy to work with and thrives in a team environment
    • An insatiable appetite to learn and grow
    • A desire to be the very best you can be
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

 

Plus ‘nice to have’ an additional specialism e.g.

  • A deeper knowledge of UX so you are able to undertake UX yourself for smaller projects
  • A deeper experience of data analytics (Google), user testing and analysis and/or SEO reporting
  • Experience of social media listening tools, methodologies, and analysis
